Lots of standard features you pay extra for elsewhere! The MODEL 26B18P20 sawmill uses a smooth running and dependable 20 H.P. Honda twin cylinder engine with charging circuit and electric start with a recoil start backup.  Contrast that with other companies that offer a 9 H.P.  or 13 H.P. manual start single cylinder engine, without a trailer package, for the same price!  The trailer package has a 2” ball hitch, lights, safety chains and a 4 prong flat plug for connecting to your tow vehicle, and easily adjustable jacks on each corner support the base during cuts – even on rough terrain.  Our standard base handles logs up to 18’ long and 30” in diameter,  is expandable up to 24′ cut in a single piece, and additional sections may be bolted on as needed.  Three heavy duty squaring fences and two cam-action dogs assure solid performance and complete log holding at all times, and the channel section base is heavy enough for the largest logs.  There are even receivers installed on the base for such optional equipment as loading ramps or a log loading and rolling winch as shown below.  Want more horsepower?  The model 26 can take engines up to a 20 H.P. Honda without modification.

Our Model 26 cutting head raises and lowers quickly and effortlessly, using a chain lifting mechanism powered by a sealed gear reduction box. Chain and sprockets are used for all lifting actions, so everything is commercial quality and will last for years. All alignments are accomplished through micro adjustable locking fittings that guarantee accurate and reproducible settings. The entire mill tows smoothly behind a small  car, and the average setup time is less than five minutes.  Because of the mills compact design, it can be  easily threaded  down narrow trails to your remote building site using an ATV or even a lawn tractor, but it is sturdy enough to last for decades and tow down the freeway at speed.

The MODEL 26 is perfect for a one man sawing operation, be It light commercial or personal use. It’s ideal for building a home or cabin, making miles of potentially expensive wood fencing at minimal cost, or providing all the lumber you need for that new barn and corral. Cuts are incredibly smooth, accurate and reproducible every time.  The Model 26 mill is based on our very successful Model 30 design, and like its big brother, may be ordered with a variety of semi-custom layouts such as different engines or bed lengths to suit your needs.  This means you only pay for the mill you want, and not the one that may be in stock at the moment.  We invite your questions about modifications to suit your plans. The MODEL 30 saws are perfect for a one or two man sawing operation, be It for commercial or personal use. Cuts are incredibly smooth, accurate and reproducible every time.  The 30’s may be ordered with a variety of semi-custom layouts such as different engines and cutting lengths, and that means you only pay for the mill you need, and not the one that may be in stock at the moment.  Some varieties of this mill are shown in the following photographs as examples of configurations and custom layouts available.  We invite your questions about modifications to suit your business.

As part of the standard trailer package, screw type leveling jacks are mounted at each corner for quick setup. This rugged saw cuts up to a 36″ diameter log more than 18′ long as shown, but you can order it with any length base, with or without a trailer package, different engines (including electric drive) or even no engine at all if you have one on hand.

Our cutting head raises and lowers quickly and easily, using a chain lifting mechanism powered through a sealed gear reduction box. Chain and sprockets are used for all lifting actions, so everything is of commercial quality and will last for years. Alignment is accomplished through micro adjustable locking fittings that guarantee accurate and reproducible settings.

Our blade guides (below at left) use high speed bearings mounted on heavy steel supports for a lifetime of hard usage.  Brass wear pads protect your blades from excessive wear while maintaining the proper alignment in the cut. Note too that, unlike other manufacturers who have a shoulder riding against the back of the blade,  we have a bearing!  This keeps friction to a bare minimum.  As a result, our blades don’t run hot, and don’t require five or ten gallons of water to keep them cool, thus saving you from hauling water to the mill every day.  All of our mills from model 21 through model 30 use the same high quality bearings and blade guides.

The 20 H.P. Honda twin cylinder electric start engine provides plenty of quiet, dependable power.

Using ramps and winch post to load a fifteen inch diameter log with little effort.

SOME FEATURES OF ALL MODEL 26 MILLS:
Heavy duty improvements. No more winch and cable now has 90 deg. gearbox with roller chain and sprockets.

SUPERIOR DESIGN
We use the same general construction techniques in the Model 26 as in our Model 30 mills, giving you a solid, long lasting and time-tested design.  All of our mills use the same blade guides, blade types and adjustment systems, so you know the Model 26 is as good a value as the Model 30 mills that have such a solid reputation throughout the industry.  Our mills are designed using the most modern Computer Aided Design and drafting technology, and most parts are cut on our computer operated plasma cutting machine.  Each and every piece is fabricated to exactly suit the intended use and far exceed the calculated loads to which the part will be subjected.  And then every design is tested and retested in the woods around our shop to make certain that it works as intended.

VERSATILITY
The MODEL 26 may be purchased with a standard base (cutting) length of 18 feet, or you can order it with  optional  cutting lengths up  to 24′.  Additional lengths are available in bolt-on configuration if you need even more length. You can have one with your favorite engine installed, or use the standard 20 H.P. Honda, and you can get it with or without trailer package, jacks  etc. as you need. You can even order just the head and carriage if you wish to build your own base, and without an engine should you already have a power plant you would like to use.  Since we build your saw to order, you can even have custom features on your mill that you will never find on production models, and the price is usually much lower than the standard products from other manufacturers.

VALUE
The biggest and best feature of the Model 26 mills is value.  No other manufacturer gives you all the features we do at this fantastic price!  We invite and delight in comparisons with other manufacturers.  Note the standard 20 H.P. twin cylinder electric start engine, the full 18′ feet of log length capacity (not just base length) and the trailer package: All standard! Then look at the low price and our solid reputation for warranty service and superior construction methods.  Compare it all, and you too will be convinced.   We are your best sawmill value.
Getting into tight spaces is easy with the Model 26

Custom Colors?
You Bet.

We can usually find a color close to your existing farm machinery. Our signature color is “FORD” equipment blue, but the mills above/right were painted to blend with different manufacturers of farm machinery. Let us know what you want and we’ll try to match it!  Note that exact matches are not guaranteed, and special colors may require a larger and/or non-refundable deposit and (sometimes) an additional paint charge.  Please note that custom colors take longer to complete, since each must be started from scratch instead of pulling completed and finished parts from our stock.

*Some custom colors may come at an additional charge.
